Airtel 4G LTE in Nigeria is soon to come as airtel teams up with ZTE telecommunications to bring in the service, however the 4g band for the network has not been announced yet.
Airtel is the only popular network that hasn't gotten it's 4g service though the they were alleged to be the first network that tested the service, They have their 4g lte service in other countries like India but yet to make it available here in Nigeria.
Finally Airtel announced few days ago that they would launch their 4g lte network service in Nigeria very soon in collaboration with one of the most known mobile and telecom companies "ZTE", This is the same company that announced the 5G internet speed smartphone that would be released in time to come.
We are yet to know the frequency and band the Airtel 4g lte service would work on, but i pray it works on either the same band as MTN or Etisalat so we don't have to buy different phones to enjoy the 4G service of the different networks, you can see the 4g lte bands of all Nigerian networks here.
All we have to do now is fold our arms and wait for the launch of the airtel 4th generation service in Nigeria and hope it's going to offer the best speed at a reasonable price.
