Do you use an Android One Device ( An Android with Android One Version ) then you must have seen an update notification to Android Nougat, but if you happen not to have seen the notification then you can go to "Settings" on your phone and check if the update is now available for your device.
This update has been confirmed to have been released to Android One devices like Cherry Mobile G1 as well as the Google Nexus 6P.
