How To Borrow Airtime From Airtel Nigeria


Airtel allows you borrow airtime if you've been a consistent subscriber, to be a consistent subscriber you need to have been on the network for over 3 months and recharge over N200 monthly, by doing that you would soon be qualified to borrow airtime from airtel by following the steps below:

  • Dial *500# and select the Borrow Once option
  • A list of available denominations that you can borrow would be displayed and you make the choice.
  • A 10% service charge would be deducted from the borrowed airtime.
  • If you've known the value of airtime you're eligible for, you can simply dial *500*amount# and send to borrow airtime from Airtel, same 10% service charge applies.
Important Update - 09/2019: You can now borrow airtime from Airtel Nigeria without paying any service charge by simply dialing *500*0#. This may not work on lines that are ineligible for the service, for those lines you should use the first method that was explained above.

How To Borrow Airtime From Etisalat Nigeria


The code and steps to borrow airtime for Etisalat are very simple, and as with Airtel, you would have to meet some conditions to be eligible for Etisalat's airtime loan service, you must recharge over N500 monthly for about 4 months to be eligible for the service.

You can dial *665# and follow the instructions to borrow your desired airtime value or simply dial *665*amount# to borrow airtime from Etisalat, e.g *665*200# to borrow 200 Naira airtime on Etisalat, 10% service cost would be charged upon your next recharge.

How To Borrow Airtime From MTN


I believe MTN was among the first network's to introduce the airtime loan service, also the service has helped lots of subscribers in times of emergencies.
You only have to dial *606# on your phone and follow the command options to borrow airtime from MTN, though you have to be eligible for the service by being on the network for over 3 months and recharging your line regularly.

Note that a 15% percent service charge would be deducted from the airtime value and your loan would be automatically repaid once you recharge.

How To Borrow Airtime From Glo


Glo's airtime loan service condition is unique because they allow you borrow the highest value of airtime you've recharged since you joined the network after 4 months, which means that after 4 months you would be allowed to borrow 1000 Naira if you had recharged that amount even once on your Glo line before.

Glo requires a secret 4 digit pin for airtime loan, every subscriber must create his/her pin before using the service. Dial *321# and follow the prompts to create your secret pin for borrowing airtime on Glo.

You can borrow airtime from Glo by simply dialing *321*Pin*amount#, e.g *321*1234*500# for an airtime loan of N500, a 10% service charge would be deducted from the airtime value for service charge.
