Google released two new Android devices few days ago, they are the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL. Recently we checked out the specifications, features, and price of the Pixel 2. Now we're gonna be checking out the Google Pixel 2 XL and compare its specs to that of the Pixel 2.
Google Pixel 2 XL Specifications (Features)
The Google Pixel 2 XL is more or less a bigger version of the Pixel 2, it has a bigger display size of 6.0-inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. It uses an P-OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Just as we saw on the Pixel 2, this device doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack so you should make sure to order a Bluetooth headphone along with it. Though the phone comes with a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter.
The phone is equipped with a Fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, Fast Charging, USB 3.1 (Type-C), and is also both dust and water resistant, just like the Google pixel 2. It has a 12.2MP Rear Camera that delivers unbelievable and fantastic looking pictures. An 8MP Camera is fixed in front for selfies and front-facing photo shots, pictures made with this camera are awesome, despite its low megapixels.
Google took care of any lagging or slow processing issue that may get you pissed off, by using an Octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and an Adreno 540 GPU. Multitasking won't be a problem because this phone comes with 4GB of RAM and two variants of internal storage with 64GB or 128GB capacity. The storage is not expandable as there is no external SD slot to do so. You also get to feel the new Android 8.0 Oreo software used on this device, out of box.
The battery on this smartphone is very much better than that on the Pixel 2, and it delivers a longer time of use than the former. The Google Pixel 2 XL's Battery has a capacity of 3520mAh, which can take you through or more than 24 hours of use. With the Fast Charging feature on this phone you wouldn't have to worry about charging for long periods of time before it gets fully charged.

This phone may have all you ever wanted in a smartphone and for that you wouldn't want to think twice about getting it. However, this device isn't as affordable as you may have thought, it is in fact considered to be expensive since smartphones from other brands with similar specs are sold for less prices.
Now guess how much the Google Pixel 2 XL is being sold at.... Well, you probably won't be getting this phone now for less than $849, since that is where its pricing starts from.
Still on the matter, Google hasn't failed to make a device worth comparing with the iPhone 8 Plus or the iPhone X. But the fact that the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL costs as much as the former iOS devices mentioned makes me feel an itch on my tooth.
