New Features Of Latest Android 8.0 Oreo

Android 8.0 Oreo is the latest version of the Android operating system. It is loaded with lots of features which we saw on some devices that have installed the OS update, and also on the newly launched Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL devices. They both came with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Just as we all had expected, this new Android Oreo version 8.0 has improved and also fixed the bugs we found on the previous Android 7 Nougat. However, though this new version of Android has passed the Beta stage, that doesn't mean it wouldn't have its own bugs or downsides.

Android 8.0 Oreo being the successor to the older Android Nougat, presents and delivers new features that weren't available or stable on its predecessor. These features of Android 8.0 Oreo are what we would take a quick look at below, all the features that are packed with this upgrade are usable on any device running the new Oreo version of Android.

Features Of Android 8.0 Oreo

1. Faster Operations and twice the Boot Speed of its predecessor: This allows you do more as you no longer have to wait for long for your phone to boot. All that is required now is just half the time your phone normally used to boot, and you would be off with any task you want.

2. Limits background activity of dormant apps: This new optimization feature saves your phone's memory for useful running tasks, rather than wasting it on dormant apps that haven't been used for a very long time.

3. New AutoFill feature that reminds you your logins into your favorite apps: A new feature that auto-fills your login details into your favorite when you try to log into them. It does that with your permission though.

4. A picture-in-picture mode that allows you use two applications simultaneously: I know you're assuming this to be the split screen feature we saw on older versions of Android, well this isn't split screen. This feature allows you view two apps on the same screen at the same time, with one of the apps displaying on the other.

5. New Notifications Dots that grants you quick access to notifications: A tap on the notification dots shows you the latest notifications, which you can clear easily by simply swiping away.

6. Android Instant Apps feature that allows you launch any new app right from your browser, without installation: There's nothing much to say about this, though it is one of Android O's features that I feel is what writing about. Just as the caption explains, this feature would allow launch new applications right from your internet browser without having to install them. Cool, ain't it?

Those and much more are the amazing features packed in the new Android 8.0 Oreo. Other noticeable features are the improved Google Play Protect feature that scans applications you download from the Play-store for malware and bugs. Another is the improved battery management and optimization feature of the new Android OS, and finally the new long list of vibrant Emojis to share your feelings in details. There are also lots of minor improvements on Android 8.0 Oreo from the older Android 7.0 Nougat which is not easily noticeable.

That's all about the features of the new Android 8.0 Oreo. More on this OS would come your way soon, meanwhile i think you should check out my review of Apple's iOS 11. Don't forget to share and drop comments of your experience with this OS. Do have a nice day.
