My Honest Review of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X (Snapdragon Version)

This review is based on the performance of the Snapdragon variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X which I've used for over a month now. The phone has many versions and variants which I haven't used at all so this review may not be the same with them.

I can say that the Snapdragon version of the RN4X is a very good device that can get you wondering why it is been sold for such a giveaway price. For me, the 4100mAh Battery of this smartphone is its selling point because it beats many other devices within its price range. You would be amazed at how long this device can take you through with just a single full charge that takes about 3hours.

The performance of this phone is excellent too, it took every game and software I've thrown at it without lag. It also has a very fast 4G internet connection because of its fast processing speed.

Though the custom MI user interface it runs on doesn't properly optimize the 3GB RAM on it, you would never run into problems because of that, not when there's an option to turn the MIUI optimization off.

This Snapdragon variant of the Redmi Note 4X doesn't heat up easily, unlike the Mediatek version. It only heats when you're stressing the CPU by charging the phone and playing a CPU intensive game at the same time, you would agree with me that almost every phone heats up in such situations. The Snapdragon version also has a better battery backup than the MTK, but the latter seems to be faster when it comes to processing things.

It has an impressive 13MP Rear Camera that takes very nice and clear photos, the 5MP Front Cam is also very good and the output may surprise you.

The Fingerprint sensor at the back is very fast, faster than you would expect of a mid-range smartphone that costs just about $150. It also has an Infrared blaster which you can use to operate your Electronic appliances at home when the remotes are out of reach.

The USB On The Go support also comes in handy, at least to save you the discomfort of sacrificing your second SIM slot for Micro SD. Because this smartphone has a hybrid SIM slot, which means it's either you use two SIM cards without a micro SD card, or you use a SIM and a Micro SD.

Generally, this smartphone serves its purpose and may be worth more than its price. I advise any geek that needs a midrange Android smartphone that can perform heavy tasks without lagging to buy this phone, you would not regret it.
